Beyoncé in a Quiteria & George and Manualrossa

Quiteria & George, a South African haute couture designer duo in partnership with Manualrossa Apparel produced an attire that was worn by Beyoncé at the Global One Festival South Africa on November 2, 2018.

The dress was an inspiration of the “METAMORPHOSIS” line recently showcased by Quiteria & George at Africa Fashion Week. Quiteria Kekana, co-designer at Quiteria & George says, “We have always made it our mission to one day dress Beyoncé, but we never thought that the day would come so soon. This dress was designed with the purpose to showcase our capabilities and is reflective of all the positive changes taking place.”

George Malelu, co-designer at Quiteria & George adds “Growing up, I never would have imagined that one day I would be part of history making like this. We are extremely proud of our work and that a mega talent was able to it in our lifetime. Enhle Mbali Maphumulo, Founder at Manualrossa Apparel expressed excitement and gratitude that she was involved in the production process of a gown that drew much of the world’s attention.

SA gospel artists unite to fix Lundi Tyamara’s tombstone

South African gospel artists have decided to take action by coming together to raise funds to fix the tombstone of the late gospel star Lundi Tyamara.

Lundi Tyamara died last year January at the age of 38 after a battle with stomach TB and a liver condition, his family confirmed.

According to Daily Sun, close friends of Lundi are tired of seeing their friend’s final resting place in ruins. According to reports, Lundi’s tombstone was vandalised shortly after his burial.

Speaking to the Sowetan, gospel star and one of Lundi’s close friends Thabiso Moloi said the family has been struggling to raise enough money to fix the tombstone as no one in the family was employed.

“What is funny is that the fencing around it is still standing. Which means someone scaled the fence just to break the head of the tombstone,” he told the publication.

DJ Fingz, whose real name is Gift, was born in Tembisa, Gauteng Province, on 27 October 1991. Fingz is a House/Hip-hop and Kwaito DJ and producer known for his work in Thee Extreem Hip-Hop mix projects.
