Core Responsibilities
- Production Operation:
- Operate designated machines and production equipment, such as blenders, sieves, spray dryer systems, batching systems, etc., under the supervision of experienced Operators/Leaders.
- Perform various tasks including blending, mixing, dispensing, packaging, heating, cooking, adding enzymes, compounding, and filtering.
- Collect intermediates or raw materials, and load them into production machines.
- Understand bill of materials and/or formula specifications to ensure accurate addition of materials in the correct sequence.
- Manufacture products safely and efficiently, adhering to predefined process instructions and quality standards.
- Read control instruments accurately and maintain neat and accurate records for all operations.
- Troubleshoot problems with guidance from experienced Operators or provide assistance as required.
- Assist in performing in-process quality testing to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
- Prepare product packaging for the next step in production or final shipment to customers, following departmental specifications.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workplace, completing all sanitation and housekeeping duties as required.
- Adhere to relevant requirements including GMP, AIB, OSHA, HACCP, FDA, USDA, and internal safety guidelines.
Process Improvement
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Participate in Lean activities within designated areas.
Additionally, you will be required to attend classes and successfully complete your learnership program.
Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric with Maths and Science.
- Technical skills preferred, including forklift operation.
- Basic math, reading, and recordkeeping skills.
- Basic PC skills, including proficiency in MS Office products.
- Ability to lift 25kg with ease.
