DStv Now app is one of the most popular apps to watch movies, series and television drama online for free from any device in South Africa. Family members don’t have to fight for a DStv remote because you can now watch DStv online for free.

Technological advancement has made it possible for DStv subscribers to watch their favourite movies and series freely from devices such as a laptop, tablet or a smartphone. All you need to watch content on DStv Now app is data bundles or a Wi-Fi connection. You can can catch up any movies or television shows from the comfort of your device online.

What is DStv Now?

DStv Now is an online version of DStv. You download the app from App Store or Play Store or now.dstv.com, register and log in. You can watch movies, series and sports from tablet, computer, laptop, smart TV and smartphone.

How does the DStv Now App work?

The DStv Now app enables customers to stream content such as latest movies, TV series and live sport wherever they are. You can also stream or download content from DStv Catch Up onto your smartphone or tablet. You can also schedule recordings from your device when you connect your DStv Explora to the internet.

This online version of the DStv decoder, will require you to create an account after you have downloaded it from Play Store, App Store or Google Play.

With DStv Now app, you can connect up to four devices with one Connect ID. You can have access to live channels and DStv Catch Up is exclusive to DStv Premium subscribers.

How do I use DStv Now?

  • Download the DStv Now app from Play Store, App Store or Google Play
  • Launch the app, then you will be asked to login using your Connect ID. If you don’t have, you will need to first register
  • Link your DStv Smartcard with your Connect ID account to be able to watch the content
  • Choose the content you want to watch (live TV or DStv Catch Up)

What do I need to use DStv Now?

DstvNow App

In order to use the DStv Now app, you must have an active DStv Premium, Compact Plus, or Compact subscription. You must also have a device which is compatible with the application. Lastly, have a Connect ID linked to your DStv account. If you have a DStv Explora, link it to your DStv Explora Smartcard.

How to link DStv Now to your DStv account online

Step 1: Visit the DStv Now website at now.dstv.com

Step 2: Login using your DStv login details

Step 3: Link your DStv Account to your DStv Connect ID. Once this is done you unlock a host of DStv functionality

Step 4: Select the content you want to watch. You can choose Catch Up or live stream DStv channels

Is DStv now free?

DStv Now is a free app for all DStv subscribers.
