“I’ve let go of what could’ve been and I’m starting to live in what is and making a reality of what could be.”  she wrote

Simz, who plays Phindile in SABC3’s Isidingo, she has accepted that Dumi is gone, he is not coming back.

“It hasn’t been easy but I’ve had to let go of a lot of “if onlys”. I’ve become the man I wanted to marry and I’ve chosen to accept that he’s not coming back but my life doesn’t have to be stuck in what could’ve been. Here’s to making all my dreams come true” – Ngema wrote

Speaking to Daily Sun, the “Thanda Ngempela” hitmaker said she is not yet ready to date.

“I’m not ready not to date – I was just saying I’ve accepted that he is gone,” she said.

Last year Simz Ngema expressed how difficult it was to lose her husband two months after their wedding and the time it took her to realise that holding on hurts so much more.

“Losing Dumi two months after our wedding was worse than my worst nightmare and after he passed away I was afraid that people would forget him, so I did everything I could to keep his memory alive but at some point, I realized that holding on hurts so much more. It felt like I had a memorial service every time I did something to keep his memory alive and I went through all the emotions all over again.” – she said on Instagram
