South African actor Keenan Arrison on his ‘Tomb Raider’ role

Keenan Arrison on Tomb Raider movie

South African actor Keenan Arrison stars in the new international hit movie Tomb Raider.

The actor, who hails from Cape Town, South Africa, said this is his biggest highlight yet.

“I was sent the casting brief by my agent. My approach to every casting is the same – get into the room and give it your all. A few weeks later I received a call that I got the job.

“Acting along big names like Alicia Vikander, Daniel Wu, Alexandre Willaume and Walton Goggins has been the equivalent of a master-class every day. Being in London for the premiere and walking the red carpet was a surreal experience. It’s somewhat overwhelming but worth every moment,” he adds.

In the new Tomb Raider movie, that hit the big screen this month, his character Rocket is one of five mercenaries.

This is not the first time Keenan Arrison gets big television roles.

“My agent calls me and says: ‘Look, these guys are asking for you, they’re inviting you to go do this, would you like to? I mean it’s really nothing big, nothing special but…then I say: ‘It’s gonna be an adventure, let’s do this thing.

I get on set and they don’t have a script, they just have a few lines and the more they see me doing things, the more they increase the dialogue and the scenes and so on…it was great fun, but it was an adventure that’s all that it was,” – Jerry Mofokeng said.
