Former Skwatta Kamp member Siyabonga “Slikour” Metane married his sweetheart Melissa Wilkinson in a beautiful wedding ceremony.
The wedding took place over the weekend. The guests included Metane’s long-time friends such as fellow rapper Lebo “Shugasmakx” Mothibe and Amukelani “Amu” Tshawane. According to TimesLive, the rapper proposed to Wilkinson in February 2016. Describing her as “the love of his life”, Metane said marrying his longtime girlfriend was a journey that he had to undergo.
“It is what it is. I have to be a man and go down this path because it is the right thing to do. The lifestyle of a musician makes it difficult to commit sometimes, but I know that this is what I have to do. This is my duty and it is a duty of love‚” Slikour told TimesLive. The couple held a traditional ceremony in May.
Speaking about his love for Wilkinson, the rapper said: “There are so many things that I love about her. If I had to sit down and reflect on all of them, I just see the essence of love in everything‚”
