South African sensation Shekhinah and Kenyan rock band Jano Band are on Coke Studio Africa this week! Catch it on Saturday at 6:05PM.
The headline pair, Shekhinah and Jano Band, meet the incredible Malawian born producer Gemini Major, who will produce the original track.
While Gemini cooks up something special for the track, Shekhinah and Jano Band sit together to choose a song they are going to cover from each other. Jano Band chooses ‘Back To The Beach’ and fuse their Ethiopian sound while Shekhinah chooses ‘Darigne’.
For the Coke Studio throwback section, Dji Tafinha from Angola and Bongo flavour artist Rayvanny from Tanzania Dee take us back to their childhood as they recreate their favourite nursery rhyme.
The big break artist is Worlasi from Ghana, but before they head to the Coke Studio Africa studio, they tell us where his passion for music started.
Worlasi meets up with Nigerian singer Chidinma and Kenyan afro pop group Sauti Sol, to remix his song Nukuta.
